Chris began his private practice experience as an associate attorney at Lathrop, Winbauer, et al, in Ellensburg.  He was responsible for a variety of cases, including family law, CPS instigated and dependency proceedings, criminal defense, real estate, contracts, leases, wills, trusts, and estates.  He also served as a pro tem Judge in Kittitas County district courts.

Chris opened his own practice in May of 2012 in Mount Vernon, Washington, where he did family law, including divorce, adoptions, collaborative divorce, child support, worked as a family law mediator, and also did wills, estate planning and other projects as needed by clients.

From December 2023 to March of 2025, Chris served again as a deputy prosecutor. In the summer of 2025, Chris reopened his own practice, so he could work directly with clients, again, and focus on the needs of families and the local community.

Chris currently lives on Camano Island with his family and loves hiking with their dog, Chai, birding, reading, and practicing longsuffering and hope-eternal by being a lifelong Mariner’s fan.

This is our dog, Chai. When she isn’t napping, she likes doing anything outside with her people. Her mom was a full black poodle, who was a search and rescue dog, and her dad was half poodle and half golden retriever. She would like to chase deer full-time.
